Observability assessment.Know where you stand.

Get an honest picture of your monitoring estate and a prioritized plan for what to fix first, before you invest further.

Why it matters

Before you invest more, know what you already have.

Few teams can say what their monitoring really covers, which alerts matter or where the budget goes. An assessment answers that first, so the next investment lands where it counts.

How we assess

Ten dimensions. Five levels. One plan.

  1. Level 1 Reactive Customers find issues first.
  2. Level 2 Foundational Monitoring in silos, noisy alerts.
  3. Level 3 Integrated One platform, shared tags, first SLOs.
  4. Level 4 Proactive Alerts fire before customers notice.Where most teams aim
  5. Level 5 Optimized Observability as code, data-driven decisions.

FAQ

Assessment questions.

What does it cost?

Every assessment has a fixed scope and a fixed fee, agreed before we start. The first 30-minute conversation to scope it is complimentary.

Do you only assess Datadog?

No. The maturity assessment covers your whole observability estate, including the other tools you use today. The health check focuses on your Datadog environment.

Do we need to be a Datadog customer already?

No. Many organizations use an assessment and roadmap to decide how to adopt Datadog, which products to prioritize and what the investment looks like.

What access do you need?

Read-only access to the platforms in scope and time with the teams who run them. We work under an NDA from the start.

What happens after the assessment?

You keep the scorecard, the gap analysis and the prioritized plan. If you want help acting on it, we can take you into implementation or configuration work, but there is no obligation.
